- Ministry of Transport of Canada approved PFD.
- Closed toed shoes that can get wet like old runners, water shoes, Crocks or similar.
- Swim attire, towel, change of clothes, windbreaker or fleece, sunblock, hat/sunglasses, water bottle and lunch.
Phones, electronics, expensive or special jewellery or items that can get lost easily. If your sailor brings a phone, they will be asked to leave it in their backpack in the boatshed.
Sailors will be on the water as much as possible. The day begins with games, followed by a morning lesson. Sailors then rig boats and head out on the water. There is a break for lunch at a beach, sometimes at Tunstall and sometimes on other beaches. The day ends with derigging boats and debriefing.
Sailors can borrow PFDs each day.
Sailing camps run rain or shine unless conditions are unsafe. If conditions are unsafe, we will contact you in the morning before camp.
Sailors meet at the TBCA dock on Tunstall beach, 1666 Tunstall Bvld. Camps are Monday to Friday 9 am to 4 pm.
In 2026, camps will run on BC Day, August 3.
Drop off is between 8:45 and 9 am and pick up is at 4 pm. Please make sure that your sailor is signed in and out with a coach each day.
Please do not drop off before 8:45. Our coaches are on site from 8:30 but they are busy preparing for the day and are not able to supervise. Please let us know in advance if you absolutely need to drop off your sailor early or pick up late.
Please let us know if your sailor is allowed to walk home by themselves or take the bus, otherwise we will wait for them to be picked up.
Please let the coaches know in advance if a sailor needs to be picked up early as coaches and sailors are on the water until 3/3:30 pm.
Coaches are on the water and supervising sailors and are not able to take calls. If you need to contact a coach or your sailor during camp, please contact Margo at 604-349-8566.
Refunds, minus a $50 cancellation fee, will be issued if you cancel more than two weeks before the first day of camp. Refunds are not issued within 14 days of the first day of camp except for medical issues.
